He was a US Army veteran and retired from ATT (Bellsouth). He was a lifetime member of the ATT Pioneers and of Grace Chapel Episcopal Church. Mrs. Alsobrooks was a life long resident of Houston County, TN and a graduate of Houston County High School, and Austin Peay University. A career teacher, she retired after teaching for over thirty years. After retirement, Mrs.

Alsobrooks assisted her husband, Beck, in operating Irish Angus Farms and raised registered Angus cattle on their family farm located on Pollard Branch in Houston County, TN. Mrs. Alsobrooks has been an active member of the Erin Baptist Church. She also was honored by the Houston County Chamber of Commerce for service to her community by. receiving the 'Emerald Award'.
