1 Leona Harrison was driving her 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage south on the highway at about 9 a.m. with Christopher Johnson, 19, of Clarksville when she veered off the right side of the road, said Trooper Brian Gann, Kentucky State Police. "She overcorrected, drove over the center line, and then overcorrected again," said Gann, the investigating officer. "Drivers tend to overcorrect their cars in these situations." The car hit the inside of a ditch, arid Harrison and Johnson were ejected. Both received head injuries, Gann said.

Harrison was flown to Vander-bilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where she stayed overnight. Johnson was taken to Gateway Medical Center and released. Alcohol was not expected to be a factor in the crash, but Gann said neither were wearing a seat belt. "That's a big thing," Gann said. "Everybody should be wearing seat belts these days."
