She was born June 18, 1924, in DeKalb County, daughter of Floyd L. and Lillie Luna Young. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker, a a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 4895 and Ajax Turner Senior Citizen Center.

Survivors include her husband, Louis W. Baker; three brothers, Alvin Young, Donelson, Dallas Young, Woodbury, and Nelson Young, Smithville; five sisters, Elise Whitworth, Clarksville, Mentie Atnip, Thelma Evans and Imanell Vanatta, all of Smithville, and Geraldine Hargrove, Merchantville, N.J. CRIME WATCH Motorcycle stolen, mailbox tossed LAUREN HOWARD The Leaf-Chronicle 1 A resident of the 1500 block of Gratton Road came home Thursday to find his mailbox in a ditch and a motorcycle stolen. According to a report by Deputy C.A. Myers, the yellow Suzuki dirt bike was worth $500.

The motorcycle was stored under the owner's porch. Truck burglarized on International 2. A vehicle was burglarized in the 400 block of International Boulevard between Tuesday and Wednesday. A window of the Dodge truck was broken while it was parked in a business lot, according to the report by Deputy Larry Terry Jr. A CD player and cell phone were stolen.

He was born June 28, 1958, in Elizabeth, son of J.T. and Ada Hemphill Redeemer. Mr. Christian was retired for Coca-Cola and was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kandice Christian, Meridian, two brothers, Johnny Redeemer, Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert.

She was born Nov. 30, 1908, in Stewart County, daughter of Frank and Olie Shaw Miles. She was the widow of Carter Robertson. Mrs. Robertson was retired from civil service and a member of Oakwood Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Bobby Robertson, Donnie Robertson and Jerry Robertson, all of Indian Mound, and Dale Robertson, James Robertson and Perry Robertson, all of Woodlawn; two daughters, Margaret Auterson, Lexington, and Shirley Fizer, Radcliff, a sister, Evelyn Davenport, Clarksville; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was the widow of Eugene Shumate Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Shumate Jr. She was the bookkeeper for Allensville Grain Co. and a member of Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Leola Willis Wright, Russellville, Maxine Willis Smith, Las Cruces, N.M., and Charlene Willis Murrey, Guthrie, Ky; and three grandchildren.

Arleen Tarenc Arleen Tarenc, 62, Cumberland City, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, with the Rev. Davis Chackalbekel officiating.

Burial will be in Stewart County Memorial Gardens, Dover. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born March 5, 1941, in Bayonne, N.J., daughter of Stanley Tarenc and Margaret Whitney. She was preceded in death by a son, David Martinez.
